Shift Your Viewpoint for Living a Happy Life

"Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."Frederick Langbridge, A Collection of Silent Ideations

Will you be ecstatic and strive for greater performance the next time, or will you be disheartened and come up with a reason not to enter a writing contest again after placing second?

You always have a lot of options in life. You can choose to adopt a pessimistic outlook and lead a life that is self-defeating, or you can choose to adopt an optimistic outlook and lead a demanding and stay happiness.

So why foster an optimistic outlook? Why now, too?

Positive moods and high morale, success in school, sports, the military, the workplace, and politics, popularity, excellent health, and even a long life free from tragedy have all been associated with optimism.

However, there has never been a greater prevalence of pessimism and sadness. It has the same effect on middle-aged adults as it does on younger ones. The average age of onset is now15 instead of 30. It is now a disorder that affects both teenagers and middle-aged housewives.

In the Last Speech to Live Happy Life

Here are some examples of optimists in action and studies that support the idea that optimism pays off:

  1. Optimists expect the best

Pessimists are characterized by their propensity to blame themselves for long-lasting negative events that threaten everything they undertake.

In actuality, optimists face the same harsh realities of our world. The way they describe their tragedy is different—in fact, it's the opposite. They often think that the reasons behind losing are limited to this one instance and that it is only a short-term setback.

The 'issue' at hand is usually the focus and point of planning for optimists. They make use of 'positive reinterpretation.' To put it another way, people probably reframe a bad event in a way that aids in their development. Bad circumstances don't deter these people; instead, they see them as challenges and put up more effort.

"Things will never get better," they won't say. "It will happen again if I fail once," and "It will happen throughout my entire life if I suffer misfortune in one area of my life."

Optimists' optimistic outlooks also forecast improved responses to unexpected events, abrupt catastrophes, and changes to unfamiliar surroundings. They will get back up if they fall. Instead of seeing barriers, they see opportunity.

  1. People respond positively to optimists

Optimists take initiative and rely less on other people to make them happy. They don't see the need to manipulate or control others. People tend to gravitate toward them. Their positive outlook on life has the potential to spread and impact those around them.

In every community, optimism appears to be a socially valued quality. While people who propagate frenzy, panic, and pessimism are viewed negatively, those who share optimism are typically embraced.

In real life, these individuals frequently win elections, receive the most favorable votes, and are asked for advice.

  1. When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher

Subjective well-being is generally higher among optimists than among pessimists amid stressful situations. Pessimists, on the other hand, are more prone to avoid dealing with issues or to deny that distressing occurrences really exist. When problems occur, pessimists are more prone to give up.

They don't give up. They are renowned for their patience and simply don't give up quickly. edging one step closer to that illusive ideal or objective.

  1. Optimists are healthier and live longer

Simple pleasures and an optimistic mindset have been shown to significantly improve the body's resistance to illness, according to medical study.

The health of optimists is exceptionally good. They age nicely, far less affected by the typical physical ailments of middle age than most people. They also get to live longer than people who are more likely to think negatively.

So why not have a positive outlook today? And envision a happier, more fulfilling existence. Why not aim for success in whatever you do? Why not have resilience? You will inevitably have low points, just like everyone else, but don't just stay there. Lift yourself out of the muck and increase your chances of regaining your bearings. And why not encourage others to take off their gloomy lenses and look at the sunny side of things?
